Health and wellness is more than having a great workout. In our center, we promote the whole you. Our spacious cardio and weight area offers equipment for everyone. Staff are available to help create a workout plan with you or to keep you motivated.
Our experienced staff will challenge your mind and body in our land fitness classes. Instructors keep you motivated through exercises that are at your skill level. Check the schedule for our new class offerings including:
Drum Beats: This is a fun rockin’ cardio class using weighted drum sticks. Implements core, strength, plyo moves and isometrics. Heart thumping, moving to the beat!
Butz & Gutz: Intense core work for those wanting a serious core challenge. Uses body weight, mat and some weights.
Gentle Yoga: Nice blend of breathing techniques, gentle stretches, beginner poses, ending with relaxation. Great place for those new to yoga or who favor a gentle workout.
Tai Chi: Works to improve the flow of energy through the body, benefiting balance, coordination, flexibility and overall mind/body strength. It helps to eliminate stress and brings a feeling of calmness and overall well-being.
Strength Training: This class involves all the major muscle groups especially the core using a variety of equipment including resist a balls, discs, weights, bands, core ball and mats.
The YWCA offers various membership packages to meet all your needs. Our downtown location is perfectly situated for your noon-hour workout; where you can take advantage of the plentiful weight training and cardio equipment or enjoy one of the many group fitness classes. You can also stop in after work. There’s something for everyone!
