    About the Program

    Communidades is a suite of Spanish-language, culturally specific programs at YWCA Greater Green Bay. Our mission is to create a welcoming “third space” for Latino and Hispanic community members—especially those with limited English skills—to connect, thrive, and belong. We offer health, wellness, and social activities designed by and for the Hispanic community, centering their culture, language, and lived experiences.

    Position Summary

    The Spanish Language Program Coordinator will play a pivotal role in the growth and success of Comunidades. This part-time to potential future full-time position is responsible for the administration, logistics, and evaluation of Salud Para Todos (our health and fitness initiative), as well as planning and implementing new social and cultural programming. The Coordinator will be a bridge-builder, community connector, and advocate for equity and belonging.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Program Administration:

      • Oversee day-to-day operations for Salud Para Todos fitness classes and new social/cultural programs

      • Manage program logistics, scheduling, and communications ( flyers, newsletters) 

      • Maintain and grow the Salud Para Todos Facebook group and other digital outreach

    • Community Engagement:

      • Build relationships with Latina and Hispanic community members, participants, and partners

      • Collaborate with our advisory committee of Hispanic women to ensure programming reflects community needs

      • Conduct outreach to increase participation and awareness

    • Program Development:

      • Plan, launch, and facilitate new social opportunities (crafting, self care, table games, discussion groups, etc.)

      • Work closely with instructors and participants to ensure culturally relevant and responsive programming

    • Evaluation & Reporting:

      • Collect participant feedback and administer surveys

      • Track program outcomes and prepare reports for funders and stakeholders

    • Collaboration:

      • Work with community partners such as Casa ALBA Melanie to enhance program impact

      • Support fundraising and sustainability efforts

    Qualifications

    • Required:

      • Fluency in Spanish and strong English communication skills

      • Deep familiarity with Latino and Hispanic culture and strong connections to the community in Greater Green Bay

      • Experience in program coordination, community engagement, or related fields

      • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

      • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse, multicultural environment

    • Preferred:

      • Experience with health/wellness, social programming, or nonprofit organizations

      • Familiarity with digital communications (social media, newsletters)

      • Experience with program evaluation or data collection

    Work Schedule: Part-time, Flexible, Monday through Friday, mostly during day

    General Responsibilities: Group Fitness Instructors are responsible for quality fitness programming in areas of land and/or water instruction. Instructors must be service oriented and exhibit a positive attitude with Clients and Staff.

    Competitive Pay + Free Membership

    Qualifications:

    • Strong communication skills to work with a variety of populations

    • Must be able to show and explain proper technique

    • Well organized

    • In good physical condition

    • Ability to develop routines for teaching specific classes

    • Educational background in related field and/or strong experience in teaching fitness classes

    • CPR and first aid certification or willing to acquire such at our cost
