The YW Strive workforce development program of the YWCA of Greater Green Bay is focused on empowering women by offering educational workshops and providing referrals to community resources that can lead each participant towards economic advancement and long-term self-sufficiency.
Objectives
- To develop a plan to obtain, to keep, and/or to pursue advancement in employment.
- To gain confidence.
- To identify personal and employment barriers.
- To develop the habits and skills needed to meet your personal and employment goals.
- To identify resources in the community to help you meet your needs and goals.
- To learn what it means to be empowered.

Session/Workshop Details
Length of each weekly workshop during a session: 90 minutes. You can choose to attend as many or as few of the classes that you are interested in.
Time of day: Tuesdays from 10:00AM – 11:30AM OR Thursdays from 5:00PM – 6:30PM
Where: Rebecca Chernick Innovation Lab – second floor of the YWCA building
Cost: FREE

Minimum/Maximum number of participants for each session: 10 – 15
Eligibility for program
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be a resident of Wisconsin
- Should have basic English skills

On Site Childcare Available During Workshops
Please inform Anne Achter at the time you register for a session of your need for child care services. Include the name and age of each child needing care. There is no cost for the on site child care service while you are participating in a session/workshop.
