Program Overview
The YWCA is a state-approved W-2 (Wisconsin Works) and FSET (Food Share Employment Training) work site providing work experience opportunities for women referred by Forward Service Corporation and other community service agencies. Participants are given the opportunity to develop critical job skills, gain valuable experience in a professional work environment, and cultivate a sense of self-worth and direction for their lives. Mentoring is also provided for each participant, with a goal of nurturing and preparing women for successful employment in the marketplace as they move toward economic self-sufficiency.
Participants also receive:

- The ability to work one-on-one with a mentor
- Confidence building
- The opportunity to attend empowerment classes
