YWCA Child Care & Learning Center offers school age care for children enrolled at Leonardo Da Vinci and Howe Elementary schools. Our school age program includes learning through play opportunities, homework help, service learning projects, gross motor play in our gym or at nearby parks, on-site weekly swimming lessons, and more. We accept school age children ages 5 to 12 and provide a variety of care options to meet your needs. Our staff will walk your child to school in the morning and walk your child back to the YWCA from school in the afternoon.
For those receiving care, breakfast is served at 7:00 am and snack will be served upon arrival to the program after school, approximately 3:00 pm. On days off, breakfast is served at 8:00 am, lunch at 11:00 am, and snack is served approximately 2:30 pm. All meals are prepared fresh daily on-site and meet strict nutritional guidelines set by the Department of Public Instruction Child and Adult Care Federal Food Program.
On-site weekly swimming lessons are included for children who attend the program 5 days per week and are here after school (“Before & After” and “After Only”). Children who attend fewer days or who attend “Before Only”, may sign up for weekly swimming lessons at an additional charge. Opportunities for youth and family activities like Gymnastics, Dance, and Tae Kwon Do may also be available for additional charge.
