Water Fitness Classes

Improve your muscle tone, flexibility and endurance by participating in Water Fitness Classes in the YWCA's warm 88° pool.  After class, relax in the whirlpool or enjoy a sauna.

Water Fitness Classes are for women and men ages 14 and older with the purchase of an Adult, Family, Senior or Senior Family package or a 6 or 10-class punch card.  Specialty classes are available for an extra fee.  Premium Adult and Family packages include free water specialty classes and family swim.  Work at your own pace.

Locker Rental
Lockers may be used while you visiting the facility. The YWCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Lockers and locks may be rented at the Hendrickson Member and Visitor Center in the lobby.

Aqua Aerobics

 

10-minute warm-up and 20-minute moderate- to high-intensity aerobics followed by stretching, toning and abdominal work. High intensity. Involves jumping, bouncing and being comfortable taking both feet off of the pool bottom.

Aqua Aerobics w/Jets

 

Warm-up, aerobic activity against resistance jets to increase intensity, stretching, toning and abdominal work. Finish up with a relaxing float in the current from the jets.

Aqua Mind•Body•Balance

(Open to ENCORE participants)

Relax mind and body while improving balance and posture. A blend of Water Yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi.

Our experienced trainers will help you find the motivation to exercise and make fitness part of your life. Get extra attention and reach your goals and train one-on-one in the pool.

 

 

Aqua Splash

(Open to ENCORE participants)

Salsa in your swimsuit with Aqua Zumba! Kick it up a notch with Aqua Box! Give H2O Combo a whirl! Make a SPLASH trying something new.

Party in the pool! Make a splash with dance and fitness moves set to Latin rhythms like Salsa, Merengue, and Reggaeton. Cardio and resistance training all rolled into one fun workout.

Deep Water Aerobics

 

Choose a high- or low-intensity workout. Must feel comfortable being in deep water. Flotation devices are provided.

H2O Circuit

 

A vigorous interval workout that quickly changes from cardio exercise to strength training exercise. Cardio and weight training in one fun workout.

Saturday Super Aqua Aerobics

Start your weekend out right! An hour long aqua aerobics class taught by a different instructor each week. Schedule is posted in the exercise pool with the class and the instructor for each week.

Water Pilates

(Open to ENCORE participants)

Pilates exercises for the pool focusing on movements from the abdomen, lower back, hips, and buttocks to flow outward to the lower extremities. Develop balance by stabilizing the body's core, improve posture and relieve stress.

Water Tai Chi

(Open to ENCORE participants)

Based on mind-body concepts of the ancient martial art of tai chi combined with gentle qualities of water exercise for all ages. Help eliminate stress and bring balance to your life.

Water Walking

(Open to ENCORE participants)

 

Easy and fun way to condition heart and lungs and strengthen muscles. Exercise at your own pace in our warm water pool. Great exercise for all fitness levels, including people with arthritis.
