YWCA Opening Doors Capital Campaign

The Opening Doors Capital Campaign is now underway at the YWCA to raise funds for current and future programming and facility updates and maintenance!

A silent campaign has been underway for more than a year, and to date, the Opening Doors campaign is at $2.7 million or 82% of its goal of $3.3 million. Donations have been received from local businesses and individuals.

Funds from the campaign will assist with programs that serve women and families, with a special emphasis on those who are low income and at-risk.  These include the Women's Closet, the Women's Empowerment Center, the Encore program for cancer survivors, TechGYRLS^®, the After School Program, the "Bullying is Never Cool!" program, and Swim-to-Grow.  All of the funds raised will remain local.

Facility improvements include a new roof, improvements in the pool and updates and equipment replacement in areas of the YWCA's 50-year-old building.  Upgrades made through an energy efficiency project will save the organization approximately $47,000 annually.
