After School Program

YWlifeinc

The YWCA's After School Program, serves students ages 6-12.  The goals of the program, which has a special focus on low-income and at-risk children, are to improve school performance, build self-esteem and self-respect, and establish wholesome relationships.  The children will develop these assets through homework help and activities that assist them in dealing with peer pressure and bullying, and understanding the negative consequences of smoking, drugs, and alcohol.  Children can also take advantage of swim time in the YWCA pool.

Children who participate in the After School Program may also qualify for a scholarship to enroll the YWCA's Camp Downtown summer child care program.

For more information on the After School Program, please contact Michelle Pierquet, Community Services Director, at 432-5581.
