Community and Donor Development Manager

The YWCA has an immediate opening for a Community and Donor Development Manager.  This knowledgeable, enthusiastic individual will be responsible for the day-to-day management and implementation of annual giving in support of the YWCA's mission of eliminating racism and empowering women and girls.  The individual should have achieved success in the following areas: grant writing, special events coordination, solicitation of corporate sponsorships, promotions, and will have experience with website technologies and use of social networking.  The position is 20-30 hours/week and offers competitive benefits. It will work closely with the CEO.

The qualified candidate will have a bachelors' degree in communications, journalism, or nonprofit management and a minimum of three years experience in fundraising.  This person should also have strong communication and organizational skills, a knowledge of donor software, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and the ability to meet deadlines, often within very tight timeframes.

TechGYRLS® Program Coordinator

YWCA Green Bay-De Pere is seeking a TechGYRLS® Program Coordinator to work with middle school girls who have expressed an interest in the fields of science, technology, engineering, or math.

TechGYRLS® is an all girls program that offers science experiments, guest speakers, field trips, outdoor activities, and more.  The program is extracurricular and generally meets for 1 ½ hours directly after the school day. The TechGYRLS® Program Coordinator will be responsible for the delivery of services for this program as well as creating and maintaining relationships within the school districts, overseeing instructors, managing billing, marketing the program, working with parents and students, and monitoring curriculum.

Candidates must have experience with children in a classroom setting.  Some schooling in the education, human services or technology field is strongly preferred.  Must be able to drive to locations where the program is held, and be available to work at varying times between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

TechGYRLS® Teacher

YWCA Green Bay-De Pere is seeking a TechGYRLS® teacher to work with middle school girls who have expressed an interest in the fields of science, technology, engineering, or math.

TechGYRLS® is an all-girl program that offers Lego Robotics, MicroWorlds animation, field trips, science experiments, guest speakers, outdoor activities, and more.  The program meets for 90 minutes after school hours.  The TechGYRLS® teacher will be responsible for the delivery of services for this program.

Candidates must be well versed in computer technology and have experience in working with students.  Some schooling in the education, human services, or the technology field is strongly preferred.  Must be able to drive to locations where the program is held and be available to work approximately two hours at the end of the school day, Monday through Thursday.  A mandatory staff meeting is also held once a week.

The YWCA currently has two positions available, approximately 10 hours per week,  with the possibility that the position will develop into more hours during the summer months (summer 2012).  This is a great opportunity for a college student or someone interested in getting involved with youth on a part-time basis.  Please submit a cover letter and resume by December 19 to lweber@ywcagreenbay.org

Water Fitness Instructors

YWCA Green Bay - De Pere has Immediate openings for part-time water fitness instructors.  Class hours are 8 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 6:30 a.m. on Thursdays,  Experience teaching water aerobics is preferred, but we are willing to train.  Additional skills that are helpful in this position include CPR training and lifeguard certification.

Swim Instructors

YWCA Green Bay - De Pere has openings for part-time swimming instructors for fall 2011.  Training will be held this summer.  Hours include mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends, based on class schedules.  Experience teaching swim lessons is preferred, but we are willing to train.  Additional skills that are helpful in this position include CPR training and lifeguard certification.

Substitute Child Care Teachers

YWCA Green Bay-De Pere is recruiting substitute teachers for the Child Care and Learning Center. The hours for these positions are as needed. Qualified candidates must meet a minimum of the assistant teacher qualifications as stated in the state of Wisconsin group child care licensing regulations for child care, and must be energetic, creative, and enjoy interacting with young children and families. The educational requirements include a minimum of 3 credits or 1 non-credit department approved courses in early childhood or child care or willing to complete within 6 months.
